Overview
The Blackhawk™ USB560 JTAG Emulator is an XDS560-class, next generation emulation controller with a high-speed USB 2.0 (480Mbytes/s) host interface that supports HS-RTDX on an enabled processor for real-time data rates over 2Mbytes/second. The USB560 is compatible with the TI XDS560 emulator features including, but not limited to, lightning speed code downloads and Advanced Event Triggering capabilities to find and fix real-time software problems. The USB560 uses 20-pin cTI (compact TI) JTAG header connector and is also compatible with the Blackhawk XDS560 cable and pod assembly and Blackhawk XDS560 Trace System. The USB560 pod is compact (3.1 x 5.8 x 1.1 inches), portable, and backwards compatible to USB 1.1. The USB560 has additional features and benefits, including support for C2000 devices, and compatibility with a Remote Ethernet Software add-on that allows LAN/WAN access to the emulator across an Ethernet network.
In addition, the Blackhawk USB560 can support Boundary-Scan Definition Language (BSDL). BSDL is the standard modeling language for boundary-scan devices. Its syntax is a subset of VHDL and it complies with IEEE 1149.1-2001. Corelis, a leader in boundary scan tools , has provided support for Blackhawk XDS560-class JTAG emulators into its ScanExpress Programmer which extends the usefulness of Blackhawk JTAG emulators beyond debug for interconnect testing and JTAG in-system programming.
